The Royal Town Of Caernarfon

Caernarfon has much to offer both residents and visiting yachtsmen, crews and their families.

The Town is steeped in history. The Castle and Segontium Roman Fort are well worth visiting. Just wandering around the walled town or taking a trip by steam train is a pleasant way of spending an afternoon. Information on these attractions, and many others, can be obtained from the Tourist Office.

There are excellent shopping facilities and supermarkets within easy walking distance of both the River Seiont and Victoria Dock.

Caernarfon is an excellent base for exploring the Menai Strait with its sandy beaches at Aber Menai, the Sea Zoo on Anglesey and the Marquis of Anglesey’s home, Plas Newydd, the town of Menai Bridge and the Telford Suspension Bridge, King Edward I’s fine Castle at Beaumaris, Port Dinorwic and Bangor with its ancient Cathedral
