Sailing

The RWYC have a active cruising section. Cruising in Company trips are organised several times a year. These give less experienced sailors the chance to sail with more experiences sailors.

The waters of the Menai Straits provide a good place to learn to sail with plenty for younger sailors to look out for. It’s possible to have nice day sails up to the sand dunes of Aber Menai for a lunch break. For sailing further afield there are a number of option, spend a week (or just 24 hours non stop!) cruising around Anglesey. For more experienced sailors Ireland and the Isle of Man is also within easy reach.

The RWYC is also runs one of the races of the Menai Staits regatta in mid-summer.
